1. Will Whaddu, LLC. design my site even though I want to host it elsewhere?
Yes! While having your site hosted by us would be more efficient (only one bill, we have direct access to your site, etc.), we will design a site that you can put anywhere you wish. We will also host a site designed by someone else!
2. What should I do if I find someone abusing Whaddu, LLC?
Please log as much about the abuse as you can, and send the logs to us. For information about our policies regarding abuse have a look at our Terms of Service.
3. Can I SPAM using Whaddu, LLC?
No, SPAM is illegal in most cases. However, you may use our services to maintain e-mail lists or newsletters. If you do, you must follow all of these guidelines:
- The list must have a simple way to unsubscribe that actually works. This method could entail a form on a website or replying to the e-mail list with "unsubscribe" in the body for example.
- It must be an opt-in list. Sending bulk e-mail to people without their express permission is not allowed.
- You may not "hack" or otherwise alter the e-mail headings. This includes, but is not limited to pretending to send mail from an invalid e-mail address, an e-mail address that is not your own, or sending false reply information.
- Sending malicious or "extreme" content is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to virus attachments, worms, trojans, and graphic pornography.
Violation of this policy will result in a warning. A second violation will result in the immediate cancellation of your account. Please see our Terms of Service for more information.
4. Can I run an IRC bot on my shell?
No, we do not allow bots to be run on our shells. If a bot is found running on your account you will be given a warning. After the first warning further violations will result in the termination of your account. Reasons for this include the security risks and the process time they use. Please see our Terms of Service for more information.
5. Can I IRC from my shell at all?
Yes! Legitimate IRC chat by an actual person is allowed through your Whaddu, LLC. shell. If you request it, we can usually install BNC and/or an IRC client for your shell. However, you are not allowed to use any Whaddu system or service for malicious, illegal, or otherwise damaging purposes. Please see our Terms of Service for more information.
6. What are POP and SMTP servers?
POP and SMTP servers are both used for e-mail. The POP server is used to relay incoming messages to you, and the SMTP server is used to relay outgoing messages to whomever you're sending e-mail to. Whaddu, LLC's POP and SMTP servers are pop.whaddu.com and smtp.whaddu.com, respectively.
7. What do I do if I forget my password?
